Italian Lavender

There are a couple of smells that will bring me right back to cherished memories. One that is perhaps the strongest is lavender. While traveling Europe, lavender was found at several memorable locations. You could see it growing in the fields of Assisi. It was often potted, or growing wild in fields. There were even shops that were filled with products made of the flowering plant.

Any time that I catch a whiff of lavender It makes me smile and I can immediately recall running my hands through this clump growing at a farmhouse restaurant in Tuscany.
